Homemade Whole and White Wheat Pasta



This homemade pasta recipe combines the nuttiness of whole wheat flour with the lightness of white wheat flour to create a nutritious and flavorful pasta dish.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1 cup white wheat flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Water, as needed

Instructions:

Put the whole wheat flour and white wheat flour in a large bowl and mix them together

There should be a well in the middle of the flour mixture

Crack the eggs into it

Put salt and olive oil into the well

Mix the flour into the egg mixture slowly with a fork until a dough forms

For five to seven minutes, knead the dough on a lightly floured surface until it gets smooth and stretchy

Cover the dough with plastic wrap and leave it out for at least 30 minutes to rise

Once the dough has had time to rest, cut it into small pieces and use a pasta machine or a rolling pin to roll each piece into a thin sheet

You can cut the rolled dough into any shape of pasta you want, like spaghetti, fettuccine, or ravioli

As the water boils, add salt to a large pot

After the water boils, cook the pasta for two to three minutes, or until it is al dente

Do not rinse the pasta after cooking

Instead, add your favorite sauce or toppings and cook it again

Enjoy while hot!
